Scope: The goal was to give research-based credence to an idea I had earlier in the program by building my previous work. Role: I served as the loan designer on this project. Instructional Design: Knowing the instructional problem from my previous research. I decided that the ASSURE method was warranted in this case. By following assure, I could tailor the technology and media-driven approach to the lesson that I was creating. Related performance indicator(s): This research-based lesson plan falls under AECT Standard 5 showing that the artifact demonstrates theoretical foundations and the ability to assess and evaluate processes and resources for learning performance. Reflection: The outline for the lesson plan was based on the need for theatrical education in school and the benefit of such an education. Writing academically was a challenge from the beginning. My experience in education was from a place of support. I need to create a lesson plan with this artifact, something I had never done before this class. Moving forward, I would better understand lesson plans and their importance to the overall process. |

Scope: This artifact represents my first research paper. Role: I served as the loan author of this paper. Instructional Design: Because this paper argues for the advancement of constructivism in theater education, and even though no actual instructional design process was used, I feel that this paper would benefit from a 5E Instructional design Model Related performance indicator(s): This research paper demonstrates AECT Standard 5 indicator for theoretical foundations by contributing to research. Method demonstrating understanding of research methodologies. As well as ethics by conducting research according to professional standards. Reflection: My paper makes the argument for utilizing constructivism in theater arts education. It explains the benefit of using constructivism in theater arts and points out the lack of research for theater education; despite the research for the psychological impact of theater being positive. |
