Who is the Production Team?

Who is the Production Team? What are they responsible for?

Producer is responsible mainly for the business side of a production. This includes but is not limited to: obtaining a performance space, hiring creative team members, gathering financial support, finding rehearsal space. ETC.

Director is responsible for the overall artistic vision of a show. This includes all aspects of the production. They are responsible for staging the show, providing motivation for the actors, making creative decisions with the creative team, and setting the bar for the production team.

Choreographer creates all repeatable movement in a performance. This includes dance, fighting, and stylized movement.

Music Director oversees all musical aspects of the show. They rehearse the cast vocally and will also work in conjunction with the producer to contract musicians to play in the performance’s orchestra.

Stage Manager will be with you from auditions to your final performance. They are responsible for different things at different times during our production. They set the schedule for rehearsal, record the directors blocking, communicate the production teams wishes to the creative team, organize the stage crew, and call the technical side of the performance.
