Rapid eLearning Tool
Below is a link to an assignment for the University of South Carolina's Graduate Class EDTE 703 Design and Development Tools II. This assignment was to create an instructional design using a Rapid eLearning tool.
I created the design following the Smith and Regan instructional design model. Using this model, I was able to follow the steps to a comprehensive design.
Using Articulate 360: Rise to complete the design, I created an informative, interactive design based on the needs of high school Intro to Theater students. The subject matter expert, in this case, expressed a lack of time to explain the history of theater and its connection to modern theater. To express this, I created an instructional design that connects theater ideas within their historical context.
Learning Contexts: The context as stated above are in an elective theater education class. The instructor has a BFA in Theater and a BA in Education. He has 40+years of professional theater experience and 20+ in education. The course is an introduction to theater class. The purpose is to give an overview of theater.
Learners: The Learners are high school students ranging in age from 14 to 18. They encompass freshmen through seniors in high school.
Learning Task: The learners are tasked with understanding theater history and its influence on modern theater.
